About Me
Hi! My name is Megan Hamer and I am the artist behind the scenes of Be Still Bakery. I have been making cakes and cookies for the Ocala area for many years. I love my small town and all the people in it! I approach baking and my designs with an emphasis on family-friendly concepts. Food has a special way of bringing people together. I am here to help foster those special gatherings and moments in your life worth celebrating. My home bakery follows Florida Cottage Food Laws and was officially established through the state of Florida in 2020.

How did you get your business name?
My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46.10 which says, "Be still, and know that I am God." Those words have helped me in many of life's circumstances and I knew I wanted to incorporate it into the business somehow. The name is meant to serve as a daily reminder for me to stop and give praise to God for giving me the talent and opportunity to bless others with sweet treats. I truly love what I do!
Do you ship?
Not at this time. All cakes and cookies are local to Ocala, and surrounding areas, for pick up or delivery. My online tutorials are open to anyone though!
How far in advance should I book?
I feel so blessed to say that my calendar stays pretty full year round. With a variety if special occasions happening throughout the year, be sure to allow plenty of time to plan ahead. A minimum of 2-4 months in advance is best! Sometimes more. Unfortunately I do not book custom orders the week of major holidays as those are reserved for themed preorders most of the time. When in doubt, just ask!
